If you have a health problem, we suggest seeking medical advice before doing any physical activity. Everyone who trains will work to their own abilities. Our instructors will help and guide you every step of the way.
Children are most welcome to come and train, while they are young and supple, they easily adapt to karate training. However, we have found children get the most benefit when they are 5 and over.
We suggest you train for a while in sportswear, and don't buy a karate suit until you are sure that karate is for you.
This is a common question, and the truth is it varies for every individual. We generally say allow 5 years, this gives you time to train hard and get your body physically fit, and your mindset prepared for each grading you take.
Short answer is no. It is up to you to ensure that you attend your classes, however you can always come on a different day to take another class.
We love your dedication but unless you are fit already, your body needs time to rest. Too much too soon could damage your body. When you’re just starting, we suggest training no more than twice a week. Build slowly get fitter then train more when your body is ready.
